Affected institutions must comply with Section 114 of the FACTA (Fair Credit Act of 2003), also known as the “Red Flag Rules”, by Nov. 1, 2008. The FTC subsequently granted a six-month extension of enforcement for those institutions under their jurisdiction for May 1, 2009.
